9/26/2001 - Jerry Golden - Israel - There is a lot of talk about the list that President Bush put out of the Terrorist Organizations he will go after. Every Jew has noticed that Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah, or Hizubllah are not on that list. In fact, none of the organizations that Yasser Arafat has any say over are even mentioned. Yasser Arafat the man who invented Commercial Airlines Hijacking and was the first Islamic Leader to train the youth to be suicide bombers, has been left off as well. If I have heard it once I have heard it a dozen times in the past few days. "I guess it's OK to Kill Jews, just don't kill Americans" and now America will go after Saddam again and the missiles will come again. In 1991, 39 came but this time everyone believes that they will be packed with Biological and Chemical warheads. Terrorist States like Syria and Iran have been asked to join the coalition while Israel has been left out. Maybe Sharon can understand that, but the Israeli people can't. "The Fatah people work closely with Sudan and Iran" said Yonah Alexander, a Pentagon consultant in countering SuperTerrorism. Remember the promise you made in your State of the Nation address never to reward the use of terrorism? Why break that promise? Yes, even CNN, one of the networks that called Elijah crazy because he claims he talks with God had to admit, that only a MIRACLE can save the Sea of Galilee. Today's CNN & Reuter's headline reads, "Israel's shrinking Sea of Galilee needs miracle." Successive years of low rainfall and increasing reliance on the Sea of Galilee's waters as other Israeli water sources are depleted has brought the lake to its lowest level in history. The lake, whose size so impressed the ancient world that it earned the title of "sea," has shrunk annually for the past four years, exposing chunks of lakebed. Swimmers must hike up to 100 yards from the beach to reach the water's edge. So severe is the crisis, that the state water commissioner last week lowered the red-line. It is currently 214.04 and is expected to drop even farther.

Drought of Biblical Scale Worsens - The Sea of Galilee has been pumped almost to its limit. It is now so low that salt deposits endanger its drinkable water quality permanently. Israel's other main sources, the aquifers, are depleted by the worst drought ever. Uri Saguy, chairman of Mekorot, went on the air in June to warn of more drought to come, with the country already facing a 30 percent water shortfall. The sea of Galilee supplies more than 100 billion gallons a year, but pumping is down by more than three-quarters, and is being pushed ever closer to the point where saltwater springs might seep in. If the lake's surface drops another three feet, Stuhl said, pumps will draw air and stop dead, Stuhl said. The carrier network also taps the coastal aquifer, which lies largely beneath Israel, and the mountain aquifer, which is mostly under Palestinian territory. Both are also at their danger points. If you seek a war, water can provide a the best excuse, and if you seek peace, water is a bridge for cooperation. It is time for Israel to call for Eliyahu the Tishbite.

6/29/2001 - WWIII - Next Stop Jerusalem - WORLD TRIBUNE - WASHINGTON - U.S. defense and security experts project the use of ballistic missiles with nonconventional warheads in the next Middle East war. Iraq, Iran and Syria will launch chemical and biological weapons attacks in any confrontation with Israel. The White House was told that the Middle East was sliding into a state of war in which all measures would be employed. Middle East war has been discussed with both Egypt and Israel. Both countries agree on likelihood that WMD could be used. Israeli military planners have assessed that Iraq would be the key to any Arab use of WMD. The Israeli military has prepared plans for Iraqi intervention in any conflict between Syria and the Jewish state. "We presume that this sort of situation will lead to Iraqi involvement and an intensification of Syrian participation in events," a senior Israeli officer told the Israeli military Bamahane weekly. "We are proposing a number of steps that would give an answer according to developments."

6/21/2001 - WWIII - Next Stop Jerusalem - Nobody even had to ask Syria to remove their occupying forces??? Yet, Syria just completed a surprise withdrawal from the Lebanese capital. Syrian forces have abandoned almost all their military positions in and around Beirut in the last five days of surprise troop withdrawals from Lebanon. The three main sources of fresh water are the Coastal and Mountain aquifers and Lake Kinneret. Dr. Shmuel Kessler, director-general of the Hydrological Service, which is part of the Water Commissioners' Office, said the amount of water that can be drawn from the Kinneret this year is only 87 million cu.m., compared to 420 million cu.m. in a normal year. According to Kessler and the other experts, the level of the lake should not be allowed to drop under 214.30 meters below sea level, just one meter from where it now stands. He cited two reasons for this: potentially irreversible damage to the lake's ecosystem, and the quality of water and operational factors. Kessler's report made it clear that the Coastal and Mountain aquifers are similarly depleted and the respective water levels are on or below existing red lines. Levels in the Kinneret and the aquifers are being lowered to an extent that it will likely result in irreversible damage that would make them unusable for future generations.

The Temple Mount Faithful was unsuccessful in the courts to order the government to allow them to pray on the Temple Mount over the Pessah holiday. The government is responsible for guaranteeing freedom of access to the holy sites. Since October, no Jew or tourist has been permitted onto the Temple Mount. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon issued a statement yesterday saying he "supports, in principle, visits by members of all faiths to the Temple Mount." However since Spring of 1997 Jews had to be accompanied by police and a Wakf guard. They were allowed only if they did not pray.

Lebanon warned not to divert river
JERUSALEM POST (March 15) - Moves by Lebanese villagers to divert the waters of the trickling Hatzbani River, which supplies 25 percent of the Jordan's water, yesterday led to Israeli threats of retaliation.
The construction of a pumping station to take water bound for Israel coincided with dire warnings of a severe drop in water supplies, as Lake Kinneret sunk to a record low level.
Israel sent a clear message to Lebanon through UN channels warning it against diverting water from the Hatzbani, a senior source in the Prime Minister's Office said last night.
Uri Saguy, head of the Mekorot water company and a former OC Intelligence, issued a veiled warning to Lebanon against disrupting the water supply. "Anyone taking unilateral action will find himself with a unilateral reaction," he said. "THERE IS NO WATER IN THE MIDDLE EAST. Therefore, understandings must be reached. If not, it can turn into a war or a forceful confrontation."
The Hatzbani is the smallest of the three headwaters of the Jordan River, after the Dan and Banyas. It supplies about 125 million cubic meters of water annually. Water Commissioner Shimon Tal says the Hatzbani supplies nearly one quarter of the water flowing into the Kinneret, and warned any program by the Lebanese to divert the flow would likely have serious consequences for Israeli water management.

1/28/2001 WWIII - Next Stop Jerusalem - An Iraqi defector says Saddam has made two atomic bombs. The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna), will be involved in the investigation as soon as possible. The disclosure comes only a week after President George W. Bush took office. In his inaugural address, he promised to confront weapons of mass destruction. Under Anglo-US policy, any attempt by Saddam to build nuclear or biological weapons could lead to military action.
